After my snapper rear end locked up I decided to see what was wrong myself. After taking the wheels off and unbolting the side panels and then opening up the gear case (that's bolted on the driver's right hand side) I found that the chain had come off the sproket. I put the chain back on without taking the axle all the way out of the sliding gearcase. AFter putting it all back together it worked great for about 10 feet and then it locked up again! Any thoughts on what my next move should be? New chain? What would have happened if I had pulled the axle all the way out? Would that have been the wrong move? I think I'll have to pull the axle to replace the chain since it circles the axle. Help!!!
