Hi all,
I don’t normally ask this since I usually know model numbers etc etc.. but I recently got a snapper 28 inch hi vac that I believe had an 11.5 intek with a pull start/electric start combo. I’m unsure of what model number this is as the sticker has been removed by the previous owner. I swapped a 17.5hp brigs i\c on it. It runs perfect, but I’m not sure what belt it uses since the belt is loose. It had a new blade and everything on it when I got it. Simply needed the new engine and belt. Does anyone have any ideas? I added some photos of it that may help.
also did they have this weird push button start from the factory? I am also not sure if the engine is charging the battery as there isn’t anything connected to the stator….. not sure how I’d wire that. Thanks!
Should be a key start. Push button to me sounds like someone has been into the electrical system. I would CSI Miami the entire system to make sure connections are proper and wires go to the right place.
Does the belt have the part number still visible? Should be able to take it to a real mower shop and get it sized up for a match.
That starter button looks like a high beam button from a Ford 1973-1979 F series truck LOL.
Is the battery sitting on a + battery cable? Maybe just the picture.
Seeing that it was equipped with a 11.5 Briggs Intek, the recoil start was probably the only way it could be started originally. The electric start was probably added later. You may have to back up and punt. Here’s all that I could find. You have a good little mower. I wouldn’t hesitate to take it to a professional mower shop and have them sort things out properly.
