Having a problem with my older snapper mower. The bracket that holds the carb keeps working loose causing the mower to run poorly or die. Anyone have a ideas? It's a RP21500. Serial # 45082900. Anyone tell me how old it is?

Maybe loctite the screws that hold it on, so they do not come loose.

I agree with the loctite. I think it's a 1988 model year but not positive. Do u have a picture?
