I'll be adding some Wiring Diagrams on how I upgraded the Wiring, install a Solenoid and 7 Post Key Switch soon..

I found a great $399 deal at eBay for a Briggs and Stratton Single Cylinder Intek 21 HP engine..

I upgraded from the 10HP Tecumseh I bought new in the 90s
The Tecumseh is still runs very well but I could not pass up a new Intek for $399 and free shipping
I also upgraded my old old tires from the 9" fronts and 16" rears to 11" and 18"

I have all the images at this link and will post a few here..

nice job there, great steal on the engine.
Any noticeable improvements in operation? Specifically, ground speed and cut quality?

With the bigger tires it handles the bumps better and I have not taken engine up to 3600 rpm yet but I cut in 2nd and not really concerned with speed..
It has way more power but I have not tested it on tall grass yet.. I have been too busy cutting the grass twice a week to play with my new toy.. :)

I did have to bend the gas tank mount forward a few degrees to get it to clear the air cleaner..
I also needed to add few washers on bottom of king pins for the over size front wheels to clear when making sharp turns

I added a solenoid to the start wiring as it just have the original push switch.. I also have a hour meter I am adding..
When I get time to add the hour meter I'll take more photos and draw up a wiring diagram..
