I'm sure I'll step on some toes here but u asked for opinions so....it's not worth a lead cent. Those newer front-drive "snappers" are junk. They're built nothing like the older ones and yes I'm partial to the older ones but for good reason. BECAUSE THEY WERE BUILT RIGHT. It u want to go used snapper look for older rear-drive units. It will last forever.

I'd have to agree with snapperfreak, I'd rather have a 30 year old snapper than any of the newer non hi-vac snappers made recently. They were built to last, and it shows. If you don't need a mower immediately, I'd continue shopping...

Thanks for the input. I'm not really in need of a push mower. I thought I be part of the 'Snapper Cool Gang' and own one.

@Snapperfreak - It was an honor to service the nation and its people. If I had to do it all over again I would not change one thing.

Thank you, sir.

As for the mower, even if u don't need one, if the right one pops up...grab it! I don't need 10 mowers but I've come across many that I "just have to have"! I'll run out of room eventually.

Yep the old ones are the way to go - unless you're talking new commercial grade. No way will I ever go front wheel drive anything.

The older Snappers are WAY better than the junk Snappers that are sold at Walmart today, same with Bolens.
