Well, I have a Toro z4200, and it does well for all I use it for. It has a 42inch deck, with a 19 horsepower kohler courage. You can buy the updated version for about 2500. Not sure about Snapper concerning quality.

I had a snapper yard cruiser with the 13hp briggs and 33 inch deck for 15 years(12 of which before I ever needed to replace a belt.). Mine had the joy stick(instead of much more common lapbars). I recently replaced it with a Country Clipper. Are you sure the deck lift is electric on the snapper? if so that is a new feature vs mine, mine did have an electric pto(blade engagement). I have no idea if their quality is the same but if it were I would not hesitate to recommend it. I bought the Country Clipper off Craigslist for only $2300. It had the one feature I thought I would like, which is an easily maintained deck. The deck slides out from under it for cleaning or maintenance.
