Small oil leak - hairline

I found small leak around the guard post above the blade? Can it be repaired? If so, how? See the attached imageIMG_20240903_181401.jpg

Do you mean the crank seal?

Yes, it is self propelled. I am not sure of the extent of the oil leak. I would say moderate leakage.

It could probably be TIG welded if aluminum. Is this on a self-propelled mower? How much oil is leaking? Keep an eye on oil level and run it.
Thank you for the advice. I have another question. Is it possible to replace crankshaft base plate?

Sure. You have to remove engine, take the two engines case halves apart, buy another one, along with a new crankshaft seal and gasket, reassemble and reinstall engine on mower. Cost prohibitive and not worth it on a used self-propelled mower.
