I have a 2007 Cub Cadet 50” Zero Turn with a Kawasaki FH661V motor.

Last year it would start and run fine as always, this year it constantly turns over but takes forever to start. After 3-7 minutes it will finally crank and run. After it finally cranks up it runs like a charm.

I have replaced the carb, fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel, spark plugs, coil packs, and battery. And changed oil and filter. Air filter is fine

I have no idea what is going on with it.

Please help!

Is the choke closing all the way. Just take a few thousands to make starting hard.

Dirty grounds or + wires, valves out of spec and a possible bad starter solenoid. When you replace a starter you must replace the solenoid too.

Check your valve adjustment YEARLY. From what you described, this is your issue.

1.Install and USE a fuel cut off valve
2.Run fuel stabilizer year round
3.Check valves yearly
4.Use 100% real gas if you can get it.
5.Install a fuel filter
6.Remove the blower/pull start cover. Clean all the dirt, oil, grass and bugs from the cooling fins for cylinder block cooling YEARLY.
7.Have a few cold beers while you are at it. Those few tips will keep you ahead of the game.
