Welcome to the forum !
I did a search on simplicity 12.5 lth, in parts diagram I don't see a shut off on fuel line, you can go to any parts store autozone etc, or hardware store and get a shut off valve, tell them what you are doing most will know size you need, or take fuel line with you, now would be a good time to change it, just cut fuel line from tank (it's better to put before filter so you can turn fuel off to change it) just remember it will leak fuel when you cut it ! I take a small pair of vice grips to crimp hose so it won't leak.
It doesn't take much pressure, don't crimp very hard or you will damage fuel line.

It's NOT mine ....... took the pic off the web ....... thought it would be a "cute" avatar ..... it is real though .... it was posted on a car show forum. I got out of muscle cars and street racing back in the 70's when we had gas lines and the 500-600 H.P. machines off the showroom floor started to fade away ( like I'm doing ) BUT I live only 2 hours from Daytona International Speedway so I still get to see a lot of "gearheads" and their machines , was so surprised to find Central Fla. is a new mecca for the "Baby-Boomers" at least 6-12 car-shows EVERY week-end ..... lots of " old-iron " runnin on the streets too, we all wonder whats going to happen to these beauties as we die out ......... seems the younger generation does'nt care for "Gramps" ol muscle cars ........ recycled cellphones or whatever they'll make out of em . :frown:
