:biggrin:Tin (metal) sheds are cheap, but they typically sweat. All the different construction methods have their pros and cons, but my experience is just like everyone else's; get the largest one your lot size, budget, and talents allow.:licking::wink:

To avoid some building codes ... My yard is fenced in by 6 foot tall solid PVC fence . I parked all my machines in spot . I purchased six sections of fence and made a box around the machines . I used 4x4 posts cut at an angle at the top and made a slanted roof with plywood
Granted it is not stand up height but it is NOT a taxable structure & it is an enclosure .... No building ordinance violation - matches the yard fence . Not 100% water proof but much better than machine covers that promote rust
Mold mice nests .... costs under 400.00

My husband wants to build a garden shed, he wants it to hold our garbage cans, recycling cans, winter shovels and some garden tools. He figures he can build it for under $700, is he being realistic or not? I have no idea.

I added 12x12 ft to my shed, and finished it inside for $800 so one big enough for what you are needing should be well under $700..
