Completed the replacement of my head gasket, now stuck at home without a feeler gauge to set my valves correctly, any suggestions to find something .04 thickness??..,

Drink can strip.

Get a feeler gauge and do the job right. You want to take it to someone the repair and they used folded tin foil ! Sometimes being cheap is not the least expensive.

Hope that .04 was a typo error because thats 40 thousands they should be set at .004 to .006
