It runs for a minute or two then dies. I have checked the air filter, spark plug, oil, and gas. I have also tipped the mower to insure that no oil went into the carb. Any suggestions?

it's a craftsman briggs strattman 700 series model# 917.374362. I just opened up the carb and it is clean.
