Hi Guys,
I have a LB Silver Pro 6.5 that seized up last season and I don't have the p__s & vinegar to repair it these days (77 y.o.). I have a window of opportunity to buy an identical, very clean unit, for a reasonable price. The problem is that the unit is not self propelled. I am assuming that the crank on the "new" unit would still be set up for a keyed/friction fit for the drive transmission pulley and, thus, a simple conversion by using the pulley/key from my inop unit. Can anyone advise me as to whether this is the case - much obliged!
We need the model number off the label of both mowers to reference the exact designs.
Is the engine on the proposed model a 6.5? The crank length would have to be the same. Most crankshafts are keyed the same on these mowers from what I have seen.
Hi,
Thank you for your response. I don't have the info for the proposed purchase mower, although I'm relatively sure I could get it. My mower is the following:
Lawnboy SilverPro Duraforce 6.5 HP Mdl 10324
Ser 9900226 (Manufactured 1999)
His mower is a carbon copy of mine but not self propelled. Below is a picture of his; mine is identical.
