In fact, it appears to have a draw on the battery according to the gauge on the dash panel of the mower. Any thoughts?

Post model number from under seat as well as engine manufacturer & all numbers from engine, thanks. Check all wiring by hand making sure all connections are tight & secure.

Turned out to be a bad alternator. I ordered one and installed it myself, problem fixed.
