I bought a new spindle. It didn't come with mounting hardware. Do I have to use self tapping screws and if so what size. Can i use a regular nut/bolt/lock washer? Thanks in advance for your advice.

I've always used the self tapping screws that were used to attach the old spindle housing .

Some of the larger repair shops keep those screws available to purchase. If I recall from a long time ago I enlarged the holes in the new assemblies to 19/64". I determined steel in sticky aluminum didn't need be that tight . You might consider testing that size hole on one of the old assemblies if you go that direction . If you go the route of bolts and nuts consider Nylock Nuts and flat washers .
