My Scott S1642 lawntractor about 8 yrs old, stopped suddenly, engine was running fine, just the tractor wouldnt move... I found the drive belt to the transmission damaged badly. After purchasing a new belt when I attempted to replace the belt and connect to the transmission pulley, the pulley and shaft wobble as though it is loose. and the bearings are worn out.
My question..
1. How best to get at the pulley and top of the Hydrostatic transmission.
Does the metal body frame unbolt and lift off..

Generally the rear body unbolts - not familiar with your machine - some rear bodies are just over the rear tires some include the floor pan on either side of the hump .
Bolt for the pulley come of easiest with high speed impact gun .
