Looking for guidance to get a used Scag Wildcat running. Mower Cranks but will not fire. Replaced spark plugs and get a spark when tested. Gas all the way to the carb. Starter fluid in air-intake hose did not help.
Any guidance would be helpful. It's a Kawi FD731V engine.

Have you checked any safety switches it might have that could cancel out the spark to keep it from starting?
Thanks for asking WJ, no I have not. My thinking was that if it turn's over and is getting a spark, than those are not in play. I'm not familiar with Scag or Kawasaki, so perhaps I'm wrong in that. My symptoms are the same sitting in the seat or standing to the side. The Parking Brake is in the proper position, when it's not it will not even turn over.
