I have a scag wildcat model number STWC52V-26KA/ serial number C6600168 with a kawasaki FD731V 26hp. The mower was not charging the battery and I found the main harness connectors were falling apart. I got rid of the plastic connectors that were brittle and falling apart with heat shrink butt connectors in their place. Spliced each wire individually so nothing got crossed up. Mower started properly but was still not charging, found the fuse by the ignition switch was blown, replaced it and started mower. Charging system is working properly now, moved mower a little bit and shut it off, went to start mower again and it would not crank at all. Checked safety switches and they appeared ok, ran a ground wire to the interlock module to the green/black wire and mower cranks no but has no spark? Any help would be appreciated on what to check next.

I know it a lot of trouble but remove the shroud and take the kill wires off the coils, that could tell you that you have a ground wire or even dead coils.
