Some say "you don't need no stinkin' stripe kit", but I thought it would be nice for my property. So I visited the nice Scag dealer (Farmington Valley Equipment in CT) today and I ordered the kit for my Tiger Cat machine. WOWie, that is one expensive add on....

I left the check on the mans desk for $494.52! This includes the roller, attaching hardware kit and sales tax. The salesman said I should receive the items next week. Perhaps I can photograph the installation process if anyone is interested on the item, or how it attaches to the machine. I did a search on the internet and I didn't find much so this will be a learning process for myself on how it attaches to the rear of the ZTR.

I normally cut my grass @ 3" and I think for the best results I ought to trim the grass @ 3 1/2 inches.... Well time will tell and the season of cutting grass is almost over around here. Another month it will be leave picking time. Oh boy, I love raking leaves. :frown:

$500 for a stripe kit OUCH!!! You must have a nice smooth lawn!! A stripe kit would self destruct on the lawns that I do except for my own which is pretty much burned up right now. I have a customer that wants me to do a dethatch with collection, not sure if he understands the definition of DUST, but I'll probably do it tomorrow. Scag has developed a vibration in the L/H control lever that has me concerned. Did just switch back to regular blades and installed the collection system and put 2.1 hours on it today, blades are not new nor resharpened/rebalanced.
