Hi all, this is my first time to this forum as a member. I have a 05 or 06 tiger cub with around 600 hours. I have put around 30 hours on it this spring. It cold starts fine and runs like a champ. When I shut It down and go to the next job, it starts really hard. I have to crank for a long time and choke before it starts. Once it gets going it runs fine. Then, on another restart, it just would not fire.
It has been at my local mechanic for 2 weeks now and they are stumped. They did find a mouse nest on top of the coils, which they replaced (the coils, not the nest), but did not seem to fix the problem. The engine is a 19 horse Kawi. Like I said, once it is running, no issues, shut it down and go to restart, its a crap shoot. Thanks for the help.
Air filter condition?
Fuel filter condition?
Fuel tank cap vents clear?
Spark plug condition before a hot restart, wet or dry?
Choke plate fully opening?
Fuel hoses close to heat source, vapor lock?
