Scag Tiger Cat running issues

Hey Guys,

New to site. I've got an older Tiger Cat with 23hp Kawasaki. When I start it and run it will cut out on one cylinder intermittently, lose power, and then if I wait a few seconds will pick back up on both cylinders. This goes on seemingly randomly during operation. Could this be indicative of a coil issue or cracked plug? I dont see anything wrong with the plugs. What tests can I run to check if this is an electrical issue verses a mechanical problem.

The easiest way to check for intermittent spark is with an inline spark tester between the wire and the plug, and when it acts up check the spark, being aware that sometimes the inline tester will give a false positive, so if you haven't changed the plugs in awhile then I would start there.
