I have a scag STR48A-19KA TIGER CUB. Bought new 10 years ago with no problems, finished mowing the other day, and when I applied brake a scraping noise from the rear started. Shut mower down checked for trash or anything unusual but found nothing. Brake adjustment appears right. Only makes noise when I engage brake lever. Any help with this would be great. Thank you.

You probably have an STC48A-19KA Tiger Cub.

Thanks for reply. Model number is STC48A-19KA and is a tiger cub. My mistake sorry. After cleaning, blocking up and pulling drive wheels, found twig riding the idler pully when brake lever was set. Sorry for wrong model number and thanks again for reply.
