Scag quits

Scag runs for about a minute then quits. I drained gas, cleaned out tank, put in fresh gas, put on new fuel line, fuel pump spews gas 10 feet, solenoid on carb checked, loosened gas cap to assure venting, put new fuse lines at seat, all to no avail. Now what?

When it quits, do you need to recharge the battery? Put up the mower's and engine's model numbers....
