Scag PTO Switch

I have had to replace the PTO switch on my Wild Cat twice in the past two weeks and the last time the switch started shorting out and smoking. What would cause this to happen? And the PTO Clutch appears to be wobbling... Please help..

It seems that you have answer your own question, I would say that you have a bad clutch and that is what needs replacing, but see what others say when they come along.

Yeah, I agree. It is a huge electromagnet that already draws a lot of current, if it is coming apart, It needs replaced anyway, just don't wait
until it flies apart on it's own!
