I've never heard of a Cheetah with 48" or 52" deck, always a 61" or 72". The seat frame has a suspension system and they are 2 speed hydrostatic drive. Typical vertical shaft engine configuration but with high HP engine selection. I know several commercial mower guys that have them, but older models, not sure what upgrades the new models have. Very fast ground speed, when in high range, too fast for bumpy, rocky, rooty, hilly New England typical lawns and commercial properties.
Have you given thought to a collection system? Scag collection systems function very well but do make the machine wider and the blower is close to the ground.
Always consider the dealers service department when deciding on purchasing any make of machine.

Thanks. Checking out the service department is good advice. I just saw the Cheetah in the 52" in the crate. It was delivered for the Scag Rep to use but have not been able to drive one yet. The salesman also showed me the Dixie Chopper Magnum with possibly putting on a different seat for comfort.

All,

i just picked up new 52" with the 25HP Kohler EFI, i just changed my break in oil at 13 Hrs.
i have test driven the 61" not knowing they had come out with the 48 & 52.
this was great news due the price of the 61".

this being said i LOVE the ride being kind of a Big guy, i had the 48" Tiger Cub and the engine burn up after 8 yrs and over 2700 Hrs.
the 25hp is great on power, all i cut is Flat Land he in La.

hope this helps.

Mike
