Scag 52" Wildcat vs. Exmark 52" Lazer E

Good morning,
I posted a smiliar quesion over on the Scag website but wanted to get it in front of everybody in case some of you have experience with both mowers.

I can buy a 52' ExmarK Lazer E for $8000 plus tax.

I can buy a 52" Scag Wildcat for $8200 plus tax.

They seem to be as close in specs as they are price. Exmark has bigger pumps, Scag may have an edge in the deck. Warranty looks to be a bit better on the Exmark. Any reccomendations or would you flip a coin here. One diofference that could matter is the Exmark dealer is 45 minutes away and the Scag dealer is 15 minutes away.

Are you sure you are not looking at the Scag Tigercat? I think the Tigercat is more in line with the LazerZ E-series. If you are indeed looking at the Wildcat, I think that is the one I would choose. I own a Scag Tigercat and have been pleased so far so I would probably choose the Scag anyway but they are both good mowers and I dont think you couldn't go wrong with either the Scag or the Exmark.

Any final thoughts. I really am leaning toward the SCAG because of the distance to the dealer. Obviously that becomes a non-issue if there are no warranty issues in the next couple of years. I have an JD X320 that never had the first issue and it had a 4 year warranty if I remember right. So, ss one of these machines materially better than the other. I also looked at the Hustler X1 but it's $600 or so more and a higher origination fee for the 0% interest for 48 months. Probably a $750 swing.
