Have you ever used a salt spreader before? Sometimes I wish businesses would invest in these little gizmos. I think they provide a good service. If you've used one, has it been a walker type or one attached to a vehicle?

I use my fertilizer spreader because it has a big enough opening at the bottom to let rock salt or fertilizer or seed through. I don't have much area to cover since I don't salt my driveway so it works fine for me. I think I paid about $7 for it at K-mart.
That is such a good idea, to just use your fertilizer machine to salt. With a fairly small area to cover, I think that's an economically sound good idea too. I just like to see driveways and pathways safe.
