s175x diesel questions

Hello,

I'm considering buying a s175x diesel and am curious if anyone has any opinions about these mowers? It has the smallest deck they put on that model (52") and it is really more than I need, but I like the idea of a Diesel engine. Any opinions pro or con are much appreciated!

Do you like to work on your own mowers? Can you work on a diesel?

I'm not a diesel mechanic but can do routine maintenance. I don't particularly like working on a lawn mower but they all require some maintenance. It's just for cutting the grass at my house.

 

[ILENGINE]

You probably will not have problems with that engine, and it will last a long time, even longer than the mower probably will. the thing to consider if you have to have repairs to that engine it will empty your wallet, and probable take part of your left leg. Diesels are expensive to repair in general.
