I had a no crank issue with my RZT50 Kawasaki FR651V.
It ran fine three days previous - mowed, finished, parked then filled with gas.
Three days later attempted to crank and starter won't spin motor.
Battery good - pulled starter - starter good - replaced starter.
Starter still can't spin motor.
Pulled motor shroud - spun motor by hand - attempted to crank - fired right up.
BUT . . .
Motor began to stumble and began blowing lots of smoke.
Shut down and checked oil.
Very high on the dipstick.
Drained oil and it was thin and full of gas.
Is it possible that fuel continued to fill the cylinders after it was shut down due to a failure of the shutoff solenoid on the carb?
Fuel solenoid shuts off fuel entering the air horn after you turn off the engine to prevent backfiring. Your problem is the float needle and seat are not sealing properly. Remedy is to remove the carb, clean and rebuild with a new needle.
