An engine is internal combustion (gas), and a motor is electric. Both Kawasaki engines and Kohler engines are good to great. The Kohler Courage being the exception to good to great. You need the model number of the engine to find parts, ie: FR691. Kawasaki and Kohler parts are readily available.

As said need the engine's model and spec number to lookup then any Kawasaki small parts supplier can usually get you the parts except for if propriety ones but usually John Deere related.

I have the number from under the seat but not sure that is original

Post the number from the seat and I will what engine came on that model. When decals are missing it becomes a educated guessing game.

It one of the reason I record my customers' equipment info here for future reference as they sometime power wash the labels off. And individual things like engines are cross link to the base equipment. After quite a few years of having to pull my hair out I had to do this.

IPL for mower and engine of the 2008 model.

Now the engine actual model and spec is not listed on the IPL but it is the [FH601V, FH641V, FH661V, FH680V, FH721V] series with it most likely the FH661V model based on HP label listed in the IPL. (22hp)
