The plastic fuel lines and mounting hardware on my ryobi tiller became brittle. When I went back with new lines, I couldn't figure out a way to fasten them without leaking from the bottom of the plastic tank. I can't find the mounting hardware anywhere, or even a photo of what it looked like. I'm thinking gasket paper would work if I could find a way to holh it snug against the tank. Any ideas?

Most of the later model Ryobi trimmers have a certain fuel line setup, but in the last few years, the newer ones could have been produced by totally different mfgrs.
So to be of any help at all, we will need all numbers off of every inch of the unit, where you bought it, pics would help too.

It's about a 15 year old tiller. Basically what I'm trying to do is to make some kind of gasket where the fuel line enters the plastic tank. JB Weld did not stick, but I'm thinking of a different type of adhesive. Any advice on this?

The correct fuel line kit of most of those came with a fuel line/filter/etc. Then when the line was through all of the parts, and on the filter barb, it was pulled back
through the hole in the tank for a good seal, but without more info, we cannot say that this is your setup.

I had similar issue with same type tiller. And I believe fish is correct with the filter barb being pushed into the exit hole. it broke on mine when dissembling so I just ran a bigger diameter fuel line so it pinched tighter at the exit hole and no leaks.
That's what I've decided to try. I don't think they make a glue that would stand up to the vibration of a tiller.
