Dumb question of the day.... I have a 2013 Regency EX that had a flat tire off the rim. Took the tire off and fixed the tire and reinstalled, but cannot get the plastic cap over the axle end to stay on. Spent about 1/2 hour trying to get it back on but it does not seem to catch on anything. Is there a trick to this? Perhaps it is worn out?

LOL You have no idea how long I have tried to get those rubber caps on they just don't want to go on.:smile: Somtimes you can kind of twist them on by putting one end over the axle. Or you might warm the rubber boot with a heat gun, small torch,or heat some water and pour over it to soften it and work the boot back on. :2cents:

Did you remember to install the large washer just behind the wheel retainer. This washer is what holds the cap in place. I install them by pushing them on squarely until they stop, with a litle grease on the inside, then taking a large rubber mallet to slowly tap them on until they snap into place. Heat will not help you, because it will distort the plastic and not allow it to hold properly.
