Hi,

Have a Bolens 38 Lawn tractor with a 15.5 HP B&S model 283H07 motor.

When I engage the blades the engines RPM痴 are not increasing. This just started this weekend after cutting about ｽ of my yard after taking a break.

Engaging the transmission will also slow down the RPM's

If I raise the deck, the RPM will slowly increase back to normal.

Any thoughts what might be causing this and how to correct?

So if you are sitting full throttle, and you engage the deck or trans, the rpms will drop and not come up?

that is correct.

However sitting in neutral and with the deck up, it will.

Sounds like a governor problem.gregjo1948
