Replaced worn drive belt. Have lever behind/under seat in lock position. won't push an empty trailer in reverse, "whines" under load. can push tractor by hand as if trans lever were in unlocked position. did I do something wrong while replacing the belt? thought it was pretty simple. rgfoote@yahoo.com
I don't see how a belt going around 2 pulleys could be put on wrong; or how it could have anything to do with transmission, other than drive with it on; or no drive with it off.
Maybe I should have asked how to adjust transmission with above problem.

Without real knowledge uf what you fixed, I would say you put belt on incorrectly.(personal experience)
