My 14.5 B & Stratton lawn mower engine leaks oil and it appears from the bottom of the engine. I don't believe it is a seal/gasket and don't have clue wher the leak is coming from.
I need pictures of the link and spring connection on the carb.
shade, gunk and hose or wipe clean (cold engine). Start the engine and wait till engine is fully hot. Keep snooping around the oil filter, complete sump seal, oil dipstick top and bottom. My intek sump bolts ALL loosened and several fell out a while back. When that happened crankcase pressure blew out parts of the gasket. I loosened all the sump (pan) bolts and retightened them. But now I keep checking them and there are several weeping areas where the gasket is missing. There are products on the auto market such as dyes read with flourescent lamps etc , and the old standby white flour to help you, but slightly colored oil will show up against aluminum.
