riding mower oil smells like gas

I mowed with my dixie chopper yesterday I aways check the oil before mowing, this morning the oil was way up on the stick. Has never happened before. smells a little like gas. What should i do?

Sounds like the needle valve in the carb is leaking, like we see on here about every either day. Repair the leaking carb and change the oil and filter.
