I have an older simplicity Broadmoor with the 18hp motor and 38” deck.
When i engage the PTO and turn the reverse mowing switch, the light does not come on and the motor now shuts off when I hit the reverse pedal.
I know this is a safety switch, but can I bypass this switch? Or is there a way to test the switch to see if that id defective?
Thanks!

Not a fan of bypassing switches. That said, check to see if the switch has two wires connected to it. If so, run a jumper wire from one to the other. This should bypass the switch.
