I would like to know if gears are universal because they usually have 8, 10 and 12 teeth and a chain from what I have heard. I am a novice but like to tinker. I have the transaxle a part and the gear was broken so i need to replace it. I have some transaxles I can get but I would like to know if the gears will match or just buy another gear.
