The gasoline-powered TroyBilt string trimmers have a feature called JumpStart allowing electric start by several adapted methods, a corded electric starter, a battery-operated starter or an adapter for a drill. Are there any other brands that offer this feature?
I occasionally need to take down things with a trimmer that are heavier than grass and vines and have seen some trimmers that have saw-blade-type heads that can be interchanged. Please give me your advice or experience on trimmers that can be adapted for this as well as for string trimming.
I see Makita offers a cordless trimmer that will work on 18v or 36v (via two 18v batteries). How powerful are 36v-and-up cordless trimmers?
