Replacing Briggs & Stratton 283707 on Dixon 361 ZTR

I'm finding that the briggs and stratton engines..10 to 19 hp,
have the mufflers on the left side...where the gas tank is now..
Not all those models offer a fuel tank..Has anyone attempted
to relocate their gas tanks...? Thx..
