replaciing vane on carburetor

Is it possible to remove a vane from a carb and install into another carb? Looks as if once the vane is in place it cannot be removed with out fubaring it.

You remove the throttle plate with a pair of pliers then the vane lifts out.
You have to make sure that the vane is interchangeable. what are the two model numbers of the lawn boys.
Very easy to do as i am in the process of changing one now. I have the vane off and just waiting for the new vane. After the new vane is installed you have to adjust the RPM so it would be handy if you had a tachometer to set the RPM at 3100. To adjust the RPM you have to rotate the collar so read the manual to see which way you have to rotate the collar.

Thanks, The one I need to replace is on a 2000 dura-force and the spare is off a 94 4.75. Both look identical. The throttle plate is number 20 in this drawing. Just pulling on it will work, there nothing else holding it in place other than a pressure fit?https://www.shoplawnboy.com/Comergent/en/US/adirect/Toro?cmd=ToroOnlineViewDrawing&partID=348375&illustrationID=335976&drawingTitle=Carburetor%20Assembly%20No.%2098-7042

Just got it back together with different vane, getting throttle set was not too bad some trial and error. Thanks again, I feel like I am almost a master lawn boy tech after this experience with rebuilding the carb and intalling a short block.

Congrats, you are doing very good. You feel good when the engine is running after the work you did.
