Hello all! I recently replaced the lower handle for my 15+ year old Briggs & Stratton/ Craftsman push mower. The old handle broke because of "give" between the bracket and clasp. The new handle (ordered using part # from original manual) doesn't "spread out" far enough between the brackets to stay underneath the clasps (only one side of the handle at a time will come out from under its' respective clasp). I have enclosed some pictures for reference.
Is bolting through the handle and bracket the only solution? Thanks for any help/ suggestions.
