However...
Essentially, CCA is "cold cranking amps", the amount of max electrical current draw required to spin
an engine fast enough through it's cycles to generate a spark from a magneto, if we are
talking mowers. Diesels it's enough to get firing compression happenng, jet engines it's enough to
get suck happening. So... 60CCA for a mower, 440CCA for a midsize diesel and maybe 2000CCA
for a small jet.
So, if you like it... is the "horsepower" of a STARTING battery.
Now, "Ah" is the representation of electrical storage, the amount of DC electricty available
over time. 4.5Ah will deliver 4.5Amps per hour until the battery voltage drops below usefull,
around 11.9 VDC, the lights dim or your computer dies (standby).
So "Ah" in plain speak is electrical energy available.
As it stands "Ah" is a calculation of load and usage and it is therefore not honest to mix it
with CCA in selecting a STARTING battery. In actual fact both use a different style of battery
build, in wet cell configs. Generally, Starting batteries are more robust, whereas Energy batteries
use higher quality componentry.
Clearer on that area?
Just as well, they are energy batteries and well below any useful Amphours beyond backip
for a landscape lighting system , maybe.
