Repetitive issues with self propelled function

I have an HRR2168. It is approximately 3-5 years old.
It has been in the shop at least a dozen times for belt/drive issues.
If I mow when the grass is slightly damp, the self propelled fails.
I ran over a 12 in briar and it failed.
Recently, right out of the repair shop it failed again for no apparent reason
Any heard of this?

It appears that your shop is taking your money......... They are not testing the mower in your yard or in tall wet grass.......

Where are at in Louisiana near me ??
 
Thanks for the feedback. I think I have the rare Honda lemon. I live in Baton Rouge. I am about to get another Honda and then sell mine "as is" online.
Any other suggestions? The shop I use is supposedly reputable.
 
In Port Allen there is is a place called City Amoco owned by Lance Farroux...... He is a buddy of mine and is a very GREAT mechanic and owns a repair shop and does warranty work for all small engine companies... Are you familiar with his place ??

How much do you want for your mower ????
