regulator rectifier

Art-848 , still fighting electrical , is there anyway to check a regulator rectifier,have a tri circuit stator, black wire with green connector ,can stator be checked by resistance? ANY HELP APPRECIATED. Art-848

Probably the easiest and the first thing to do is to disconnect the regulator, start the engine and measure the ACv coming directly out from the stator. If that is in spec, your alternator is good. When you reconnect the regulator, run the engine but have no "DCv" coming out of your regulator, then the regulator is bad.
