Hi all, first post here. I have just purchased a used 1999 John Deere lawn tractor. It is powered by a Kohler 15hp engine (cv 15s). It doesn't seem to have a regulator to change to ac coming of the stator to dc going to the battery to charge it. The wires from the stator go straight to a harness then to the battery. Is this normal or is there a hidden diode along the way that I am missing. Thanks.
