Regularly clean carburetor?

I have an unused bottle of carburetor cleaner lying around. I’m not aware of any specific issue with my carburetor (other than my mower is 15+ years old so anything/everything is starting to go….), but the fact that I have a bottle of carburetor cleaner has me wondering if I should be regularly (annually?) cleaning my carburetor as part of routine preventative maintenance, or only if there’s an issue?

Thanks

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

At one point I had seven tractors and the best addition was putting fuel shut offs to run the carb dry for storage.

Put it on the Might Need it Someday Shelf inside a Plastic cup. Those cans tend to Rust Out.
You can no longer buy the Good Carb cleaner in Ontario.

The fact you have an unused bottle of carburetor cleaner and a 15 year old mower should tell you everything you need to know.
