Recoil problem

Have a Briggs & Stratton engine on my lawn mower (Serial Number 1703025891155). The recoil is plastic and breaks after 8 starts.
it’s a good mower yet recoil not dependable. Any suggestions on replacing recoil or if a metal unit available?
