The self propelled drive feature does not seem to be working well and I want to make it work better.
The drive paddles are a little stiff to pull and I have to really push the mower to get the rear drive wheels to engage but if I lift the rear wheels off the ground the wheels engage immediately and will push the mower easily. I cleaned the paddle mechanism using a spray penetrant with little to no change in performance.
Is this a normal operation for this mower? This is my first experience with this brand.
The mower looks neglected (rusted and physically not maintained well and probably stored outside). It seems really solid though, just want to make it better and easier to use.
