Rear drive wheel-Toro model 20374- keeps coming loose?

Hi all,
Just replaced the belt on the above captioned mower, and made sure all bolts were tight, however the rear left wheel keeps loosening and falling off.
I suspect that the threads on the pivot arm may be stripped, but it shows no sign of this visually.....anyone else had this problem or have an idea why?
Thanks.

I guess no one has had this issue.....almost 200 reads and no comments. I'm going to try threadlocker on the issue, as vibration was something I hadn't considered and the threads on the nut, and on the pivot arm look okay

Does your machine have a wave washer on the wheel assembly? If so, maybe it has lost some of its liveliness. You could try bending it a little or buying a new one. Or, as you have done, use thread lock. The vibration from the engine does tend to loosen bolts on mowers. BTW, congrats on finding the nut in your lawn after the wheel came off.

I also recommend thread locker but expect it to be very difficult if you have to take it off in the future. Red works well for most light applications.

Thanks guys......
Oddjob, no.....no wave washer on wheel assembly.
Auto Doc,.....I have the blue....medium strength...I'm sure with an impact it should come off if neccessary after the fact....fingers crossed! :)

If you have all these pieces and some blue loctite you should be good to go.

in the photo there is a nut just above #4. It looks like it is used to lock the axle shaft.

The nut above # 4 is another #4 that goes on the #3's to hold height of cut plate on.
